Friday random to the max

This was the sink area in my hotel lobby in San Fran. Loved, LOVED the look but don’t look at yourself in the mirror against those blue up-lights. UGH!

My friend Julie posted a link to this guy’s work. Brilliant! It’s definitely in that category of:

Modern Art = I could have done that + Yeah, but you didn’t.

As it is I love this to the max. You know, Julie is one of the most intelligent people I have the pleasure to call friend. If you’re not following her already, you’re missing out on so much!

Now that I moved down hill and closer to the ocean, I’m waking up to pea soup autumnal fog. I love it to the max.

Finally got around to making a little movie of the jellyfish at the San Fran aquarium. These guys are so mesmerizing. I definitely need a jellyfish aquarium at home as a Zen temple. Except I would feel sorry for them all confined like that and contemplating their happiness would be so stressful that it would be rather anti Zen for me. Best stick to little video clips.

I’m sorry but the mouse is creepy!

I’d so love to have the statue in the post Today I Learned Something New. How very cool. Oh, and I really enjoyed the jelly fish video clip. It reminds me of the Planet Earth video series that I received as a gift for Christmas. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, those sinks are amazing! That would be quite a surprise to walk in on that at night. šŸ™‚ I think I will stick to videos of fish, too. Watching them can be so soothing.

Good luck with the aquarium. šŸ™‚ The statue picture is my favorite, I love statues and statue photos, I take a number of them myself, without the clothing though. šŸ™‚

I can just imagine the effect those blue lights have on skin – yikes! But they are cool looking from a distance. Great statue. Lovely foggy image. The jelly fish video is wonderful – did you add the colors or was that part of the exhibit? The mouse, creepy? definitely!

But I could bear it, caught hold any animals in a small space never, I do not even see the cages at the circus or zoo …
Beautiful picture of the foggy morning!

Hmm, the Mouse is rather creepy, taken in multiples at least. The sinks would be a nice place to visit, but…

Your video clip is soothing, otherworldish. I have wished I could visit and experience the fog rolling in towards Vancouver ever since I read a book years ago called Three Women At Water’s Edge, where one of the women had moved there. It changed her life and made perfect sense to me that a place could do that.

Great post here today. I found a new blog (Julie’s) through yours. Enjoyed the artistic and creative sculpture link.
Loved the Jelly Fish and the video was mesmerizing. I could watch them for hours. Way better then Lava Lamps!
I must admit that some of those Mickey images are a bit weird looking.

Love the second and third shots.

Not a fan of jellyfish here- they can all die. My Blessing last summer was stung by one and was in pain for weeks afterwards. The red sting marks lasted for at least 9 months and she still has a brown spot left from them. Don’t mean to rain on your parade, but once they hurt your baby, you see them in a completely different way. We have not swum in the ocean since and the ocean where we are is muddy and murky so you can’t see them in the water.

She was nauseous later that evening and came very close to going to the ER. Was so sore that for a week she wore only pajamas. A couple of weeks later she had a fever and nauseousness again.

We did not know they could last that long.either. She was either stung by a man of war or a lion jellyfish -those are the ones that leave the marks for weeks on end.

I do however like your jellyfish shots šŸ™‚

We have a huge multi-plex aquarium here in town and I always loved viewing the jellyfish and how they glow. Oh and speaking of ‘glow’ …I’m not sure I would like the sinks….sickly, ghostly apparitions in the mirrors!!
