Look beyond. A wordpress weekly photo challenge

_MG_6327 copy

I’m not sure I’ve ever shown you this image. For a few years now I’ve been obsessed with reproducing Vanitas in my photography. Vanitas are a type of symbolic work describing the transient nature of life. The word takes a root from Vanity. In Latin: Vanitas vanitatum omnia vanitas: all is vanity. Look beyond the lovely hot cup of coffee. Think about what it is you see.

Thought about and presented for the WordPress weekly photo challenge: Beyond.

I love this! My son happens to be playing Mozart on a music game right now. It goes perfectly with this picture. I always wonder where you get these lovely things in your photos. Beautiful.

What a beautiful “full” photo– I love every bit of it, the uniqueness of each item, the placement, the texture, the colors… gorgeous!

Vanitas – I like it. and it rings a bell with a project I have coming up.

I love this little scene, especially the diagram book underneath…so much going on.

I looked beyond and saw people working. Hammering metal and working in a construction office. Another beautiful photo, Veronica.
