Recovery week! And exciting news!
Whew, it’s been a roller coaster week for me of fulfilling pushed off appointments and teaching the therapy journal on the back of my wonderful Art Crawl experience, and I took today to catch up on paperwork, clean the upstairs studio, and generally have a breather.
Believe it or not, I came up to the studio and discovered that my cymbidium orchid is blooming!
Last I remember it just had five little shoots starting to come up. What a lovely surprise. I’m always amazed at this
little big orchid after everything it’s been thru.
And, while I’m still enjoying my tropicals in this space, I’m also looking forward to having them outside…especially for the Art in the Garden tour. Yes, that’s right! I’ve applied the garden and now must work on applying my songbirds.
Inspiration is all around me here. And I need it, because I just put two songbirds into an exciting on-line auction curated by ArtBomb, one songbird, the King Sparrow, will be featured next week.
I’ve got merlins on a 1950s map of Austria on the go right now.
And I must get to varnishing this oil painting called The Wild from Howe Sound because it will be included in a group show “Clouds” from March 24th to April 22nd at The CityScape Community Art Space. I’m so excited to be one of 50 artists showing. I love group shows. You can bet I’ll be taking tons of photos. I will post some at the Official OnQFinancial blog to show the ways of decorating your house.
Now all I need…how did someone put it on FB the other day?…4 days of sleep, 5 pounds gone, and $10,000 by tomorrow. Actually, I just really need the 4 days sleep. 😀
Wow—seems like you are pretty busy for someone having a recovery week!!! Good on ya—enjoy every second!
I was just thinking that! I keep saying ” next week,” and then it’s “next week!”

But hey, don’t turn down “the 5 pounds gone, and $10,000 by tomorrow” if either or both of them show up as well!
Damn, just woke up. Five pounds is still here! Will go back to sleep. 😀
veronica, you are making my head spin. i want to honestly ask you if it’s not too much trouble also gathering our AC themes, seems to me like you’ve got an awful lot of stuff happening and i almost feel, well, ashamed of having asked you in the first place. think about it, and if i can make your life a tad easier, i’m willing to add the extra button on my blog and keep count that way? i mean, not taking it away from you either, but really, i mean, you need a breather???!!!
oh, that orchid! of those birds, oh them clouds, oh, oh, oh… YOU!
also to say our new theme is up. feel free to come out and play with us, but please don’t overdo it. actually for this theme, you could just enter your whole blog, couldn’t you? just saying.
love you to bits over your zealousness, and do tell me if you want me to step in.
and then see you over the weekend of march, 18-19?
Fantastic! I’ve got the page built but for some reason am not seeing it. When my 20-something wakes up this morning, I’ll get to to fix it. It should be coming up just under the headder with my other pages. Never fear, all you need is one millennial and you’ve got it sorted. 😀
Doncha just love being alive and busy? So much better than the alternative.
I just love your space, feels so inspiring and warm. Love your photos.
i could use the sleep too … my life isnt as busy as yours but i never have enough sleep …
You are amazing! So busy and such an inspiration. How I wish I could paint, or draw .. not me! Love your painting ..wish I was going to that show. And look at Morgan .. sigh beautiful
