Theo died

017-copy-copy1

The truth about love is that it’s a beast with sharp razor blades for teeth. It must be. How else do you explain the pain in my heart and these burning tears?

Robbie was with him in the end. Robbie brought him home and dug a hole under the roses in our Oxfordshire garden and laid Theo to rest wrapped in his turquoise blanket.

And we cried together. And we talked for hours and remembered him.

In our life together with his and her’s houses and his and her’s countries, he was something we truly shared. Our little shining light. A spirited little boy, full of personality. He found us four years ago. He was sickly and emaciated and we nursed him back to health. We never knew how old he was or how long we got to have him, but we needed him as much as he needed us.

I still remember losing my first and only 14 year old cat – which was twenty years ago now.
We have our memories though Veronica.
Big hugs to you my friend.

So sorry for your loss, Veronica. It is so hard to lose a pet and I use that term loosely as they are always more than that, they are family members. Judy

The beasts of this world can break our hearts more than anything else. We know nothing of love until we look into the eyes of one of the Universes creatures and see the spirit in us all staring back at us, asking for nothing and giving everything.
You are in my thoughts often but most assuredly with more tenderness on this day.
    Much love and Peace~

Oh my heart is sad for you on the loss of your sweet Theo. I know how hard it can be. Such a precious memory you’ve made though with the drawing. He certainly was well loved and loved you back just as much. May you find comfort in those special memories.

My eyes are teary reading this, and I’m sad for you and Robbie. Theo was a gorgeous boy. My furry-ones passed over a decade ago and my tears are for them as well, still. They leave deep footprints on your heart & soul. The memories are warm and funny though, full of laughter. We’ve been away at our house in the country, where there is a little cat (who somewhat resembles your Morgan) with razor sharp teeth and claws, who has adopted us and our neighbors, who we’re [unsuccessfully] doing our best to not become attached to, because of circumstances necessitating our absence and also that other razor blade sharp teeth side of love. But I did unearth the old cat bed & knit rug (which I couldn’t bear to apart with) for our verandah, and a flannelette sheet for our shed where she likes to sleep, to keep her warm during winter, should she wish to persist with her living arrangements.
