About Thursday light and painting
I was painting, listening to some random jazz from some random internet music site and thinking that there really aren’t any songs about Thursday. And there should be. Thursday is such a mellow day, isn’t it? It’s a third-cup-of tea-morning-and-15-extra-minutes-in-bed kind of day.
The quality of light is different; especially in the late afternoon (is that a Thursday thing too?) Perfect for painting. Painting is good.
I have a habit of sitting at my desk in front of my computer and a sea of papers, notebooks, art paraphernalia, taxes, bills, and orange slices, way into the best light of the day. Then I have a mini meltdown about not getting any “work” done. Sometimes you just need to walk away.
And then the random jazz site played Ella Fitzgerald singing Count Basie’s Thursday. It’s now on its third repeat.

I should have guessed we might have the same red chairs as you!
Loving your painting!!!
Happy weekend to you. I’m heading to Victoria for the day. Might even remember to take some photos of a place on Cook St I think you would love.

Serendipity – you have to be open to it to have it happen. Lovely.
