A day in the life of…me. A WordPress weekly photo challenge

Went to sleep last night to the thought of, “Yay, holiday Friday…no workmen…I can sleep in!”

Well Morgan and Milo had other ideas at 6am, and by 7am I had an antimatter bed-ferret snuggled up beside me purring his head off. Thanks a lot guys!

With the promise of sun and 15 degrees I washed some sheets and hung them out in the sunshine for the day.

Then I had to go to Costco…no photos from Costco because I’m sure that if you’ve seen one soul-sucking box store, you’ve seen them all.

But then, a lovely walk on the beach…

…a stop at the garden store and a little gardening. Oh, I bought a new cultivar of blueberry called pink lemonade which has pink blueberries. Not sure how I feel about that but I thought it might be fun for Binky and Bunny.

Evening sunset reflecting in the kitchen cabinets is the time for an hour of Ashtanga yoga and then off to read a book.

Road trip out to the country tomorrow. 🙂

Sheets hung on a line…ah, I’ve not experienced since I was a teenager. Love it.

Beach days are always fun, especially when you’re done with the Costco run. I’m on an island so I don’t have that option. Ah, island living;-)

Judging from your photos, your day is quite peaceful and vibrant. Although the picture of your cat suggests a tinge of craziness (the good kind, of course) 🙂

Great photos, thank you. I just started taking ashtanga yoga classes twice a week at one of our health clubs. I haven’t practiced yoga in years, have a poor sense of balance, and have been working on strength training at the local gym. Added to that is now the ashtanga yoga. I hope to stick with it. In my mind are 3 words that are philosophical for me: STRENGTH, ENDURANCE, FLEXIBILITY. I hope I can stick with it. So far I’m not deterred from the difficulty of the ashtanga style, especially since I no longer eat sugar or junk food. It’s amazing what a healthy diet can do for the mind as well as the body.

I don’t know about anyone else, but waking up to a cat (or two!) purring against me in the morning is the answer to the question, “what is the meaning of life?”. Even in their taking, they give. I love them unconditionally.

Veronica, can definitely relate to time-INsensitive critters. Our doggie is highly unpredictable–just when you think you have her figured out and you are going to sleep in, she decides to lick your ear at 6:30 AM.

BEE-YOU-Ti-Ful photos of sunset, beach and kitchen tiles–love colorful things 🙂 Happy Trails! (on your journey)
