A little jewel of a painting and a view out of the door.

I rarely do this…you know…because the “Hey, look what I did!” approach feels like so much boasting, so please forgive this little bit of boasting in this post.

A month or so ago I started a new little painting and I showed the under painting on my FB page. And then I put it asideΒ till today. (I do that)

Today I think I finished this little jewel in sapphire. I’m really pleased with it, but the main thing is it felt so good to paint for a couple of hours.

Why don’t I do that every day?

Also, my friend Celi of the kitchen’s garden asked what we see out of our door…the daily view. This is what I see Celi.

I’m really enjoying seeing the fellowship’s daily view on Celi’s blog. It’s one of my daily reads. πŸ™‚

The painting is a jewel and perhaps you don’t paint every day because such jewels and the accompanying feeling are not everyday occurences – but come to you and sparkle and they choose πŸ™‚ Who knows? Delighted that you shared πŸ™‚

What a lovely view outside your door. And your painting is indeed a sapphire jewel. Has it inspired you to do even more painting? I hope so.

Hi Veronica! I see you paint with flowers just like Monet πŸ™‚ Love those irises!! So did he come to think of it…really enjoyed seeing the process of your little painting. It turned out really lovely. And kind of a surprise ending, looked like it was going to be a path and turned into a stream:-) When I paint or draw I have the same thought, why don’t I so this more often? Answer, time–though also it’s a storage problem. Already have walls full of my husband’s photos and my art–and there’s not really a market for my art, so…
