Grow on, willow, grow on
They say it takes 300 years for an oak to grow, 300 for it to live and 300 for it to die. 900 years! Live on Mighty Oak.
My willow is only about 100 years old. But itβs over 50 feet tall and has a majestic tent-like spread. Like the oak, it is the stuff of fairies and trolls and deer and foxes, Mr Toad and Ratty.
I feel so content under this tree.
I feel so content under trees.
The blood in my veins is resin. The very roots and timber and branches of my heart feel the willow. Itβs amazing.
Grow on willow, grow on.
Photographed and written for the weeping willow but also for the WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge.

I am hooked by your style, composition and verbal musings. I am brand new to this…going through some major life changes and your blog gave me inspiration and some courage. I am going to buy a Camera, not one that will leave me penniless but a very good one..Suggestions please?

Hello Katt, so wonderful to meet you. Thank you for your kind words. I’m a Canon girl all the way. Had two rather expensive Nikons which both became unfixable after about 5000 shutter releases. The Canons I use most are the 5D ($4000) and the Rebel ($800). I also have a little pocket-type Sony Cybershot which hasn’t ever let me down. Hope this helps…off to check your site out now. Come be friends on FB if you like, of like my page Studio V (https://www.facebook.com/#!/veronicaroth13 https://www.facebook.com/studioVRoth) π

Wonderful tree. Don’t you just love ancient trees? They’re so peaceful and seem so knowledgeable. I love your photos. I hope to post mine tomorrow. π

Great photos and reading your comment about your cameras… I’m thinking Leica now. I’ve had a Canon and a Nikon and want to try a new thing. I’m still a canon girl too. π
