Hello from Sunday night
City and country, a perfect blend this week.
The sun keeps shining, the daffodils are up, some of the cherry trees are in full bloom, the weeping willow in the country has that bright green flush of new leaves…you know the kind that I mean? I brought some branches home for the vase.
Just a quick mention that Vibeke’s giveaway is still going on, and will continue with a new, wonderful gift to win every day for the whole month, (my turn in on the 10th with three silver stacking rings), and to my snowy friends out East, I do have a guest bedroom. 😀
Big warm hugs.
Maggid
Gorgeous photos . . I liked reading that you brought home some branches . . Once – many years ago – i was invited to dinner – i brought branches full of fall leaves . . . the hostess was . . surprised.
Veronica
Thank you so much Maggid. If I was the hostess who invited you, I would have loved those fall leaves much better than any bunch of flowers. 😀

Oh my, gorgeous photos! Love the shot of the phone and the wine LOL! As for the cat and the camellia. Just lovely.
Hello from Monday back at you Veronica.
Veronica
Thank you so much Julie. I don’t know what Morgan was doing but she was completely interested in that blossom. Something small and squeaky probably brushed against it in the night. 😀

Lovely photos of your springy weather there. It’s actually ‘warming’ up a bit here in NB this week – maybe +6 tomorrow. Just a teaser though I’m sure. I never thought of clipping willow branches to force. Enjoy your week.
Veronica
Yay for +6! Spring is just around the corner. It’ll be there in no time. 😀
Jo
A wonderful mix. I love it when the weeping willows begin the sprout their leaves.
Veronica
Thank you so much Jo. We have it so good here on the Pacific coast this year, don’t we? 😀

Spring flowers already! In early March! You know why the rest of Canada envies you, don’t you?
Veronica
I know, I know…but I do have a guest bedroom. 😀

i would rather sneak into your luggage and go to Mexico with you … sigh
Veronica
That would be terrific fun! Oh what nonsense we would get up to. 😀

Thank you so much Linda. It’s so glorious here at the moment, that I feel a little guilty. 😀

hellooo from Somerset – there is cherry blossom in the park today! and crocuses and about three thousand seagulls on the pond, all flying up and back down and splashing and shouting swapping spring snippets feels decadent 🙂 X
Veronica
AW, I miss England 🙁
Michelle
I love the photo of your cat sniffing the rose.
Veronica
You know what that silly cat does? She pulls the blossoms off and takes them to the back door and lines them up along the doorstop. Did you ever? 😀
