My first giveaway! Still feeling the love from yesterday’s post.

005 copy

I’ve been thinking about this for a while now and wanted to put together something special, something which is “me” and also has value.

What I came up with is this little gift package:

A Moleskine journal – because I write, sketch, keep insane little ideas in Moleskine journals.

Ephemera stuffed in the journal —sketches, stamps, old photos, bits of things – because I love to create with ephemera and think you might like to too.

Some of my kaleidoscope cards – because I write to people and so think you might like to too.

A sweet little vintage vase for you to put some flowers in and brighten up your space while you write – because I love vintage and flowers.

And two little bits of vintage lace, one for the vase and one for the cup of tea you will sip – because I love tea.

It all goes into this sweet little house box and gets mailed to anywhere at all – because mail goes everywhere these days.

So here’s the catch: Leave me a comment please 🙂 That’s all.

And, if you like, I have a little favour to ask of you. Lately I’ve been thinking about this site because some people have asked me to type cast it. I hate pigeon holing things and always refuse to, but it does make me think. What kind of site is this? Is it even possible to put it into a bracket…like, say, lifestyle blog? Art, photography, travel, she’s-all-over-the-place-with-this blog? The thing is I just don’t know, so if you have a feeling or anything pops into your mind, like that word association stuff, I’d be ever so grateful if you could please tell me. 🙂

Apparently people have these things open for a length of time, so shall we say week Sunday? That would give me till Sunday Feb 3 to figure out what a random number generator is. And then this sweet little package will be flying out to you.

(this is a bit of a secret but there are eight more Moleskine journals here so this giveaway may have to be repeated with different goodies)

I love your giveaway. (Especially the journal, since journals are wonderful.) Hmm. For your blog, you don’t have to pigeon hole yourself. What if you have something new called eclecticity?

Hi Veronica. What a fun giveaway! I’m in :). Maybe your bracket phrase could be [creativity flows]. Just a thought.
    Stay inspired!

I’ve never used a Moleskine but of course I’ve heard lots of good things about it.

I’ll share your post so hopefully you get some more comments. But hopefully not too many since I want to win. 😉

Hey Veronica, I’ve been thinking about your question … “What kind of site is this.” To be honest, I don’t know and if you asked me what kind of site I have, the answer would still be, “I don’t know.” Some days I feel like a chameleon, will the writer emerge or the paper crafting gal, or perhaps the one that knits, crochets, sews, plays in the “dirt” and so on … Mind you when I have a task on hand for WRSS hospice, I know what is on my agenda, other than that, I never know *smile* and I like it like that. That is one of the reasons I keep my blogs separate, one for writing and the other to release that creative muse (if I can find her) who insists on marching to her own drummer.

Sorry my friend guess I wasn’t much help. It is wet, wet, wet here but who cares, my youngest daughter and her family are coming for a visit … sushi all the way for dinner Veronica. Hugs … Carole

Veronica, what a sweet giveaway… The pictures will probably be awe-inspiring if they are yours. I think your blog is very creative. I have seen some great things here. I hope you have a wonderful week dear.

Your posts always bring me light and peace, and inject some beauty into my day. The best part of winning would be that it would be like meeting a little piece of you in hopes that our paths cross some day. I have a hard time putting your blog into a category. If you were a catalog or a business, I’d call you a lifestyle brand–one which shines sunlight on the beauty found in overlooked places.

As a statistician, random number generation is right up my alley. Assign each person a number. Go to random.org. Put in the min and max and push generate. Voila.

I LOVE this!. I repeat: LOVE! So very cool, so very you.

A blog like yours can’t be type-cast. Call it ‘eclectic’ or if that confuses people ‘personal’ because that’s what your blog is: the things in life you find magical.

Random generator so easy I can do it. Just Google for one. Now, I shall go back to my day with a smile.

Oh, I do want to win this lovely package and like Jeannine mentioned the best part would be having a package from you. Your blog is a personal blog and because you are an artist and live a creative life, your blog is creative, entertaining…a delight to see and read. I would also say it has its spiritual side (but maybe that is just me projecting). I’d say you have your own style and eclectic isn’t a warm enough word to describe it. You allow your readers to see into your real life and real self which makes it an endearing blog. I love it!

This is an already fantastic blog and now a wonderful giveaway! Journals and personal treasures such as a postacard or image that holds a memory for you and a new one for whoever receives it are a big favourite of mine so I will be crossing my widgets, eyes and toes. I stumble with words which is why I draw pictures… I do love the electicity idea from Beth tho!

Well, Veronica, when you figure out how to use the random number generator, please share. I’m part of the Grow Your Blog Party and will need to use that tool on Feb. 1. In the meantime, I like your blog and especially your giveaway. As for a label for your blog? I’d have to say just be yourself and post what moves you. I had the same problem and a blogger friend told me to just blog and enjoy the process. So maybe that’s what you blog can be – a “process” blog.

I am delighted you visited my blog thus allowing me to discover yours. As for a description, the words serendipity, atelier and salon come to mind. I now live not far from Vancouver on the Sunshine Coast and commute to Calgary. Visits to England punctuate my life now and then. I hope to recreate an English cottage garden here on the coast. Your give away is enchanting.

This is a great contest, Veronica. I’d love to win that package.

As far as your blog? I am not sure what category it would fall under. I am not sure what mine would fall under either. Though many blogs have a dominant theme, I think many bloggers do well by being themselves and just writing what comes to mind. You are versatile, and I like that. Hmmmm….versatile Veronica 🙂 Just keep doing what you’re doing.

Veronica, I would die for a moleskin journal! Please put me in. I would have to agree with Margo, eclectic is a good choice of words. Who wants to be classified anyhow? Unique is the only way to go in my book. :=)

Moleskins are the best and such a wonderful giveaway; I think you left a comment on my Blog – but, I have been sans computer for a week (motherboard died) – it was just returned yesterday. Trying to Blog Hop then reply to comments. Will take time! Smiles. Love your blog and your unique style. Also like “Common Magic” – special. I struggle with trying to find a gallery link for my photography, but haven’t come up with an easy solution yet, either. Hugs from Alaska. Karen

What a wonderful giveaway Veronica! I’m so glad I found your blog to follow…I enjoy reading it even though I don’t often comment. What I really like is the fact it’s not one-thing-or-the-other…each day’s post is different from the last… Making the ordinary extraordinary…

Hey, I just realizedvthat i didn’t enter or comment on you ver philosophical post! I think that yournblog is about you everything that touches you. I don’t think thatbyou can put it in one “slot” . I like that you write about life and how you see it and do it. It kind ofbreminds me of “Simple Abundance” by Sarah Ban Breathnach.
