Serious lack of pretty tea cups here

Well, I do miss Earl Grey tea. Not a single tea bag in sight, let alone a pretty cup.

However, we found this lovely peppermint tea. Lagg’s…ever heard of it? I haven’t. It’s seriously yummy and minty.

I’m sorry but this sturdy, white restaurant cup is about the best I can manage this tea cup Tuesday. But the fruit is super sweet and yummy!

This little female Brewer’s blackbird doesn’t care about my tea, as long as there’s some crumbs for her.

But I guess…when in Mexico…these girls were waiting on their drink. They negotiated a price of $5 and two straws for…

…this coconut! Must have been so fresh. I watched the fellow use his machete to chop the top off. I looked at the girls and they gave me a smile and said, “His fingers! We can’t watch!”. But his fingers were fine.

But the three parrots, who love peanuts and shouting just outside the hotel, say…

“Stop your whining about tea and go smell some plumeria…

…and then have a pina colada…you’re in Mexico, you don’t drink tea in Mexico!” Lol, OK then. 😀

Wow! It looks as though you two are having an amazing time 🙂
I also LOVE what you did with the old paintings – really brilliant idea!
And true – mexico is not for tea drinking – enjoy your pina coladas ladies.

    Hello Veronica,
I hope you are having a good time in Mexico. Palm trees, parrots, and pina coladas sound very good to me! lol!
Sorry about the lack of tea and tea cups….but you do have some lovely alternatives : ) The plumeria looks gorgeous!
Have a safe and wonderful trip.

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time, Veronica. That sand looks so inviting. I am longing to walk in the sand on our beaches but that won’t be for a while. My son, who also lives in BC, just spent a week in Mexico and he had a blast. His pictures were amazing! Thank you for sharing at Tea Time and enjoy the rest of your trip.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

Oh, this post talks to my island girl heart. Your photos are so vivid. And the plumeria. It has been ages since I smell fresh plumeria. Thanks for stopping by. And yes, I would love your recipe for madeleines once you get back from your wonderful vacation.

Looks like you are enjoying your vacation even without some tea. And the beautiful flowering shrubs!

Hahaha – great tea post – if a bit unconventional with restaurant ware. The coconut chopping and parrot really sell the deal! But – scrolling down I saw you doing something amazing with thrift store canvas paintings and I’m all agog! Too amazing – will have to pin that for sure!
    Joy!
P.S. That would be a fantabulous post to link into my new All Things Bright and Beautiful Link-up I launched this week! It’s a monthly event – a link to all the details in my tea post here: http://www.thewritersreverie.com/2014/03/seamus-shamrock-farewell-tea.html

Sometimes we have to do without hot tea until we’re back home. With the sun, sand and coconut drinks, it’s not hard to let it go. LOL

Had a cup of Earl Grey the other day! The beauty of Mexico must make up for the tea absence. Also, fresh coconut juice is pretty tasty 🙂 (By the way, loved the picture of the plumeria.)
