The golden hour for the WordPress weekly photo challenge
I was walking down to the village on this hot day and on the way down I passed our local herd of cows who were feeling the heat in their soft velvet coats.
There is a very little stream which runs thru Brook Farm and the farmer has made a lovely smooshy, splooshy, puddle of a pool.
On my way back the whole little herd was in the pool waggling their tails around, drinking the water, enjoying themselves to the max.
That was my golden hour. 🙂

I would love a golden still of this late in the day with just one bull or cow in the water at Western dusk. I was driving home from Pittsburgh on the turnpike a month ago and saw the photo just waiting for me but to stop QUICKLY at 80 mph would have ben very negligent but I still have it in my mind. Got any similar with low gold light V?

Oh, isn’t that the way it always is Kathryn? I’ve got a snapshot in my mind of two eagles tearing up a salmon on the snowy bank of a river. And me without my camera! Unfortunately I have to wait till Sept to check out if I have any shot like that you might like because my files are in Vancouver, but I’ll see what I can do in the meantime. 🙂

Hi Jean, I suppose it’s pretty shallow, but if it were me, I’d be rolling around in that lovely, smooshy mud for all it’s worth. 🙂
