needs more courage

needs more discipline

needs more practice

needs less stuff

needs to focus

takes photos every day

takes herself out on art dates

takes sugar with her tea

loves papers and pencils and oils and brushes and quills and inks and poetry and sushi

loves her cars and computers and canons

loves reading a good book

wishes stuff didn’t matter so much

wishes she didn’t care so much

is glad that she cares so much

has a sneaking suspicion that it will all work out

[…] Veronica Roth..She’s got a wonderfully unique voice and a great eye for photography, too!! Read her most recent thoughts on…“Spam is fair play…isn’t it? I mean, if you send it I will use it. Fair enough?” […]

Peace and light back to you Walter. Love you computer generated images. 🙂

  • Reply Linda H. November 23, 2012 at 12:44 am

This is one of the best “about” pages I have seen. Simplicity with depth.

    • Reply Veronica November 23, 2012 at 7:16 am

Aww, thank you Linda. I find it really hard to write about myself and would really rather not, so this is a good alternative. 🙂

  • Reply Sophie December 19, 2012 at 10:41 pm

Hi Veronica! I really like this introduction 🙂 I’m having a peak at your space. Have found you through Sarah’s Good Mail Club.

Aww, thank you very much Elizabeth. I hope we get to know each other better this year thru our blogs and thru the Sunday whirls. 🙂

  • Reply julespaige January 27, 2013 at 5:51 am

Our about pages are individual, revealing just enough.
I’ll be back to read your wordle of the week 🙂
I believe we have visited each other before, but this is my first time at your ‘about page’.

I agree. It will all work out.

I love this blog. It speaks to the part of me that loves art, photography, and creativity. Unfortunately, the business of daily life usually overwhelms the part of me that longs to appreciate the world. I need to come more often…

    • Reply Veronica February 3, 2013 at 10:46 am

Aw, thank you so much Julia. I know what you mean. It’s always a struggle to cram in the creativity, isn’t it? But then it’s so vital to happiness for people like us. I think it should be a priority, but try telling that to the rest of the daily life! 🙂

    • Reply Veronica March 22, 2013 at 6:38 pm

Muchas gracias, that’s ever so sweet of you to say my fellow Canadian blogger Vatelechuza. Is your name Alma? I’d love to know. Quebec is still really cold, isn’t it? Last time I was there was this past June. It hasn’t changed, still so lovely. 🙂

      • Reply vatelechuza March 22, 2013 at 6:48 pm

I’m curious to know why you named me ‘Alma’ That mean ‘Soul’ in Spanish… ‘Vate’ = Poet and ‘lechuza’ =Owl , a nocturnal bird that writes poems 🙂 I leave in Gaspesie, about 800 km from Quebec city. And we still have a lot of snow. Yes today is cold!

I just may have to frame your “She is”….pretty much sums it up for me too!! I’m so technologically incompetent, wish I could figure out how to follow you? Any advice? Can I follow you thru WordPress?

    • Reply Veronica August 28, 2013 at 10:06 pm

Hi Barb, hope you do print it out. 🙂 I love to share everything I post here. (For absolutely free, with no strings attached) I think the only way to follow is to put your email addy into the little follow box on the right hand side. I really should check out more plug-ins for that. 🙂 But thank you so much for wanting to.

    Dear Veronica,
Just wondering if you ever received our package from the giveaway at Lady B’s TIme for Tea. I sent it months ago but didn’t hear that you got it. Please let me know.
    Thanks, Ruthie

    • Reply Veronica September 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm

I did Ruthie, thank you so much. Unfortunately I was up in arms with these floor renovations and then I left for England for a very extended time soon after that and so now I’m only getting a chance to begin enjoying your lovely gifts. Much love and thank yous to you both.

  • Reply Neil October 5, 2013 at 1:41 pm

When the wind whispers in your ear, a song so old and yet new, of life and love, dreams that are still to be or have come and gone, as the wind caresses bringing a leaf to stay behind… I reach up and remove the gift from my hair. With a sigh I move on. Thanks in my heart on my lips. As my treasure from my hand slips.

    • Reply Veronica October 6, 2013 at 3:23 pm

Thank you Neil. Now that we got straightened out, I want to thank you for this lovely poem inspired by this page. 🙂

  • Reply createsumzing November 12, 2013 at 6:23 pm

Hey, love your poem. This is one of my favorite “About” pages I’ve stumbled upon in a blog. Speaking of taking photos every day, ever played around with a Polaroid camera? I dunno why, but I feel like getting my hands on one sometime.

    • Reply Veronica November 12, 2013 at 6:54 pm

Hi there Createsumzing, thank you very much. I have a couple Polaroid cameras here but the film is getting harder and more expensive to find, isn’t it? There’s a new P-type camera out which takes tiny little P shots. I thought that was a lot of fun. 🙂

      • Reply createsumzing November 16, 2013 at 4:41 pm

Yeah, and on Amazon, the Polaroid cameras are more expensive than they should to be. Considering the quality of the photos anyway. (Unless they’re found at a thrift store or yard sale).
