A lunch with Jonathan, Chantal and Megababy

I can't even begin to tell you how much I was looking forward to today, but I can tell you that one of the biggest reasons was that I got to drive out and see my son and his family. Our baby Asher is now two weeks old and this is not only the second time I got to hold him, but also the first time my mother, his great-grandmother, got to see him in person.002 copy copyI picked my mom up, (she lives halfway between us), and drove out to my son's house, where we were greeted by Butters, Jon and Chantal's puggle. He's such a funny little guy.005 copy copyAnd then I got to hold Asher. He's changed so much in his two weeks of life so far. He's had a bit of a RH negative/positive problem and a bit of jaundice, but he's much better now, and he's just so beautiful.021 copy copyMom and I stopped on the way for some hot roast chicken and some potato salad, fresh veggies, baguette and a fruit flan. That seemed like the best plan. That way no one had to cook and run around and we all just got to maximise the time we had with each other.004 copy copyWe chatted and toured the house, (the kids are trying to complete their renos), toured the garden, (now that's where I can lend a hand), and just snuggled the megababy.014 copy copyToo soon it was time to go; I think Butters looks very sorry to see us leave. I'm so glad we had the chance to drive out to see the kids. Hope to see them soon again. :D030 copy copy
