Friday randomness
On Thursdays I make spaghetti. I do this because Robert makes spaghetti on Thursdays too. It’s somehow comforting to have a little family tradition like this; even if across 4700 miles.
I love this UK product. It’s homeopathic remedy for feeling panicky and it really works. Morgan has been a bit on edge and hissy and so I decided to put a few drops into her water. My very good friend Catherine suggested I do this. Thank you Catherine, it was a great and inspired idea. 🙂 And Happy Birthday my dearest! 🙂
Here is Chloe feeling moved to tears by music. She said, “No, don’t take my picture!” So I promised to get the sun in and veil the photo. I think she’s one lucky girl to experience that feeling.
Robert bought a Taxi to use the long chassis for his new Medusa car build. He gave me the sign from the top. I’m going to make a lamp out of it. Here I’ve stuck some fairy lights into it to start getting an idea of what I want.
C has been geocaching. This week I asked her to come for a walk and she asked me if I wanted to find the geocache close by. In the end I found it in the middle of a giant rhodo. It was placed there by a boy scout troupe so contained a lot of boy toys. We placed a few marbles in it, C signed her name, we replaced the cache and climbed out of the rhodo.
C said I’m no longer a Muggle, (non-geocaching people) I felt rather smug and looked around with fresh eyes while Muggles walked all around us…lol.
Linking with Nancy for Friday randomness. 🙂
sorrygnat
I grew up having Spaghetti on Thursdays…. Roast Beef Sundays or Roast, fish Fridays, and I love Bach’s Rescue Remedy; just recommend it to a friend; east coast culture wafts by me; best to you; great photos
Veronica
Did you Esther? We have a roast on Sundays too, but roast beef only once in a while. Mostly some sort of lovely roast chicken. C was feeling a bit apprehensive about going climbing with the more experienced climbers and she took some RR and felt much more positive. 🙂

I used to always do spaghetti on Fridays. It is wonderful to have food traditions 🙂 Also, your food photos are out of this world. Good luck to Morgan–hope that she is feeling better and I love that taxi lamp idea!!
Veronica
That taxi lamp is going to be great, isn’t it? I love the idea of weird and unusual lamps. 🙂
Catherine Llewellyn
Yay the rescue remedy idea in action – did it work?? – putting drops in her water is a brilliant idea, she’ll get it in small repeated doses, perfect – and thanks for the birthday wishes – my first birthday wish today was from Robert by text! your message rounds off the day beautifully, I feel loved from both sides 🙂 much love to you X
Veronica
It worked Catherine, she’s much calmer today…hooray! Much love to you too. 🙂
Barb
I’ve used Rescue Remedy for pets and for myself. I recently recommended it for a Grandchild who broke an ankle. I think the Taxi light will be really funky – a conversation piece. I have a blog friend who geocaches – he’s hooked on it. I’m enjoying your photography.
Veronica
Is that right Barb, I’m so glad that I’m finding people all over who say it helps. Very positive for me to calm my animals in a holistic way. 🙂 Thank you so much for visiting me. 🙂
Beth
spaghetti – yum! i think mom had whenever she thought it was time. i know she made a plan … but never a certain day. but i will have to ask – i am curious. ( :
Veronica
I think that’s great Beth. My grandmother had a wonderful repertoire of dishes and I hope my children think I do too, but I love keeping the spaghetti tradition going. 🙂

What great photos you take . . .
Thanks for sharing with us!
Veronica
Aw thank you Maggid 🙂 I love to share and love to see your name in the comments. 🙂
Rita McGregor
Love your random post. 🙂
We never had a certain meal on a certain day when I was growing up. Actually didn’t know people did that. Seems comforting somehow.
I was just crying reading a book today. I can relate. 😉
Veronica
Aw Rita, that happens to me. You should have seen me for the four evenings it took me to get thru Marley and me! What are we like?
a spirit of simplicity
I’ve always wanted to go geo-caching. Perhaps I will one day
Veronica
I hope you do Spirit. Chloe has this app on her iphone and it makes it fun and easy. The app gives general directions and clues. It’s somehow very fulfilling to find the darn little box. 🙂

Fab photos love the shot of your daughter thanks for visiting my blog today…
Veronica
Hi Viv, my poor child is somehow always getting in front of my camera…lol. I loved visiting you and will again soon. 🙂
Nancy Claeys
Wow — so much going on for you this week Veronica… love your photos. Thanks so much for sharing at R5F.
Veronica
Hi Nancy, I look forward to catching up with you on Fridays. 🙂 Thank you for hosting.

This just looks so simply fulfilling to me.
Veronica
The geocaching? That’s an app on the iphone Kathryn, you should go, it’s great fun. 🙂
vastlycurious.com
I have the app actually, I just have not had time to do it yet!
Veronica
Chloe has the app too but that wasn’t working so she went on some website for this one.
vastlycurious.com
Did it work and WHERE can I get some : )
Veronica
It did work! She’s a much calmer kitty. I’m not sure where though but you can search on line. I haven’t bought it in Canada but that doesn’t mean anything because I’m such a creature of habit and buy it in England and don’t really think about having to buy it here. Maybe it’s available in the US or via mail order. Tell you what: C was feeling all jiggly about getting back to rock climbing and possibly not being as good at it as her climbing companions, she took four drops on her tongue before she left and climbed the steepest slope yet with terrific confidence. The stuff is great! 🙂
vastlycurious.com
Really ? How much is it?
Veronica
It costs about £8 in England.
Daryl
rescue remedy is awesome .. they make a version for humans as well as for pets!
Veronica
Do they make it for pets? That’s good. I didn’t know that because I usually only buy the human stuff in Boots. 🙂
