Hello from Sunday night
Breath comes in hard gulps. Hiking up the trail to the white pine before the rains come again. That’s autumn round here. The week world is made of city and mountain. Warm patio sun traps and city sized gardens, and cool mountain air, fresh pine smell and spongy trails.
On these rare breaks form the rain, I hike up the mountain to sit at the base of the white pine in the forest high above the city and absorb the calm.
When there’s more time, there’s a break to the country.
Misty mornings give way to sunny afternoons. Garden centres, little boutiques, lunch outside on a restaurant patio.
Country charm and country calm.
And then, like the busy bees, back to Monday and back to work and, quite probably, back to the rain.
Sharing with Judith and the Mosaic bunch. 😀

Nice selection from you weekend. I’m loving that sign about running away from home.

I guess when a trail has a sign posted to use at your own risk, it could be tiring. A nice outing and lunch on the weekend, and I’m wondering about those white balls too. 🙂
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday Veronica.
some weekends are like mini vacations, easy to fall into and hard to resist the pull back into routine. I love mist in the mornings. How pretty!

Your pictures made me long for a hike…it has been a while but we will be going to our nature center nearby soon.
I really enjoyed your post. A lovely weekend … hike, garden center, lunch, pretty flowers … sounds pretty close to perfect to me! Happy Mosaic Monday!
lovely … i think your energy is returning … x
We’ve had some amazing weather – rain during the week and gorgeous sunny weekends, perfect for getting out of the city. Looks like you are enjoying the very best of the season.
What a pretty place for a hike! I would rather see rain during the work week than on the weekend. Lovely images! Enjoy your week!
That sign about running away from home is very true!
I know, right? 😀
The big coastal road we take whenever we drive out of the city is called Baden Powell Drive 🙂
Hi Molly, I think Lord Baden Powell is pretty famous all over the trails all over the world. (Or where ever there are boy scouts) But it’s so wonderful to have commonalities, isn’t it? 😀

Love the flowers and the bee!
That’s a great photo, isn’t it? I can’t believe how some flowers just call to the bees in the fall. I guess it’s pretty important to plant them and keep the bees going. How are you doing Jennifer? Have to pop over and visit you. 😀
