Indiana Jones and an Andrews sister at Retro Festival
Hello everyone, it’s been a wonderfully roller coastery Saturday for us at the Retro Festival.
We had the most amazing time with our friends Chris and Diane and their darling granddaughter Kelsey.
We toured the vintage car show grounds, shopped miles of vintage markets, listened to wonderful music and danced up a storm.
I got my hair styled a la 1940’s up-do and took part in a “best dressed” competition! Oh my goodness that was a lot of hairspray and 25 bobby pins! But I bought a vintage Royal Air Force hat to go with my outfit and had to figure out how to wear it.
More cars! Wanna Bugatti?
We stopped by the Spitfire tent to catch the live show. These three fabulous girls, My Favourite Things, did an amazing job of singing and dancing.
Here is the little video I made for you:
If you like it, could you give it a thumbs up please?
My friend Diane took this photo of us just as we arrived.
And we’re already planning to come back next year! 😀
Debra She Who Seeks
You both look very retro cool! Bobby pins and hair spray — oh my!
Thank you so much Debra. I know, I know! Now I have 25 left-over bobby pins. 😀
Excellent video looks like a fun day! Loved both your friend’s and your outfits ?
Thank you so much Patty. I loved all the clothes too. It’s like a great, big dress-up party. 😀

Ida P. Krause
Well that looked like a lot of fun. Loved your outfit too.
It was so much fun Ida! 😀 Now I want to find more occasions to wear my 1945 suit!
Joyce F in KS USA
What a fun day. Loved the video.
Thank you so much Joyce. We loved the whole day there. 😀
I can hardly stand it, I want to move there! You might not have won the final best dressed but you two stole the show as far as I am concerned. I hope Chloe gets her Pacer in the future. I would love the Zephyr. I loved the whole video, in fact I forgot all about the fact that I was supposed to go slice red onions to soak in milk for an hour for fried onion rings tonight–M.F.K. Fisher’s recipe.
Can’t hit publish without saying that your guy had some pretty smooth steps on the dance floor!
Thank you so much Dewena. Robert is such a fantastic dancer! Yikes, if Chloe gets a pacer I hope she’s moved out of the house by then…lol. 😀
That car show looks awesome! I love all of the vintage dresses! So adorable! 🙂
Thank you Mandy. It was so much fun to get all dressed up. 😀
Oh you both look so fun! I love the outfits of that era and your hairdo was perfect. Can’t imagine all those bobby pins and hairspray though. I hope you’re having a wonderful summer Veronica, I was so happy to see your comment today. Thanks so much for visiting. …maybe someday when you come to Southern California we can finally meet 🙂
What fun! I love anything retro! You looked wonderful! Enjoyed the video!
