This is for the challenge “Habit”. My daily habit is to draw something on some piece of ephemera. I keep my pencil box and a book of note paper on the kitchen table so I can pick them up every time I have a few minutes. š

Hi Janet, I bet you can again. š Just pick up a pencil and keep at it. When I wanted to paint as beautifully as my artist aunt did and got all frustrated with myself. My aunt used to say, “talent doesn’t fall from the sky and hit you on the head.” Ok, it doesn’t translate so well form Czech, but you get the picture. š

Fantastic! Great idea about keeping paper and pencil handy. Simple but effective.

Hi Christie, works for me š If I leave the stuff in my studio I can invent millions of other things I should be doing instead of painting. This way I warm up at the kitchen table and then really want to hit the studio. š
