Yesterday morning I woke up in my English home.
This morning I woke up in my Vancouver home.
I threw the curtains open and the first oblique rays of the winter sun hit the mantelpiece and this little gift from a visiting Japanese student.
Hello Mr and Mrs Oshiawase Ni, welcome to Vancouver.

I love your beautiful pictures. I wish you could teach me about photography. *sigh*
V: how is it you have 2 places to live-family in England, other family in Vancouver; sounds great!
Oh, I reallllly like that! Illumination is a wonderful thing
Welcome back to the states!!
Lovely! I hope you recover from your jet lag soon!
Welcome back to your this side of the world home! I love the little round “O”‘s for the mouth.
Hi Carol! Thank you so much. It’s nice to be in the great Pacific Northwest again.
Hi Linda, I’ll be as right as rain in a day or two…or three! LOL
Thank you so much Sara! Funny, last time…I think July, WordPress had Luminous as a challenge and I wrote about getting it thru my thick brain that I actually can unfriend nasty people. I was just thinking how nice it is to be able to concentrate on peace and light instead.
I know Esther…but what’s going to happen when I buy that houseboat on the Seine that I keep threatening to buy? How will I ever keep track of myself?
Thank you Jeannine, you’re such a sweetie. I’d love to teach you everything I know about photography, (which isn’t all that much really). Just ask me anything you like.
Welcome back. Did you bring the sunshine?
Hi Carla.
Er, yeah, yeah, that was me!
Lovely!
Thank you so much poetforjustice.
pretty ^^
Hello kz, my eclectic, eccentric, shopaholic friend. Thank you for stopping by.
Welcome to Vancouver!!! It is going to be a chilly one for sure today. But love the sunshine we are getting. Thank you for visiting me ! Enjoy your weekend.
You have a very lovely blog, and photos, Veronica.
Thank you Victoria, very sweet of you to say so.
Hello Koralee, it’s chilly that’s for sure! We always get these lovely, sunny January days, don’t we? Are you in/around Vancouver? I’m in North Vancouver. Loving your lovely pinkness on your blog these days; it’s like fresh cherry blossoms.
Hey, welcome back to Canada! Things are cold and snowy in Calgary today. Try the 2 minute meditating thing…after two weeks I am still doing it…total miracle as I typically cannot sit for that long and suffer from busy brain.
Nice Raina! I usually forget to meditate daily and then, when I need to, it’s all stressy, stressy and I have to calm my brain down first. I’ll go with the daily 2 minutes for the next few days.
