Making the most of the weekend
For some bizarre weather reason, known only by the trade winds, this weekend was sunny and warm and Tshirt at the beach weather.
I know! Not your typical Vancouver October.
The flowers are still going strong in the garden and everyone is feeling a little lazy, nicely warm and in a bit of a domestic cocooning mode.
Truth be told, Milo has a bit of a cat cold and was sneezing all night, and he’s my little energy bunny, so when he’s lazing around the house, we all feel a little lazy too.
But it would be a shame to waste this beautiful sunshine, so out we go.
Down to the beach for a walk, where it seems that most everyone has had the same idea.
So while we enjoyed watching the children playing and walking by families picnicking, we also had one eye on the cerulean sky and those mare’s tails which always signal an approaching front.
Monday morning, back to rain.
Sharing with Mary on this mosaic Monday, and Carissa at lowercase letters, and Sami for shenanigans. 🙂

Nice pics! Is that a yard sale or art exhibition?
Veronica
Thank you Tim. That’s an art exhibition, the tail end of a summer long festival. 🙂

Hi Claudette. Do you know Vancouver? How nice. Our rainy Monday just developed a bit of blue sky, so things are definitely looking a bit brighter. 🙂 Thank you so much for your visit; it’s lovely to make new friends.

Looks like a Beautiful weekend!
Veronica
Hi Wendy, thank you so much for stopping by. It was a great weekend. 🙂
Daryl
i dont know if you know but cats dont sneeze unless they have something wrong with their mouth .. usually its a tooth issue … if he continues to sneeze, please take him to the vet …
Veronica
Thanks for that Daryl. I did have a check in his mouth but everything looks pink and normal. I called the vet this morning who said it’s probably nothing to worry about and there has been a bit of cat-bronchial stuff going around the city, but to bring him in in a day if he doesn’t show improvement. He sneezed a lot less last night so maybe he’s just got a bug. He’s only three and as strong as a horse so I think he’ll be fine. 🙂
Lavender Dreams
Oh, I love an art show outside! And it’s nice to have a little Indian summer at the end of the season! Enjoy your day!
Veronica
Thank you so much. I love being able to walk by various artist and seeing all the different styles too.

It was a wonderful weekend, wasn’t it? We enjoyed every minute of the sunshine – both days. We intended to stay home on Sunday and do house chores – but that sunshine won out, and I’m glad because of the rain today – although the sun is peaking through a bit right now, but I hear there is more rain coming. Great photos of your weekend.
Veronica
I know the feeling JoAnn. Couldn’t stay home. There’ll be plenty of rainy days coming up. 🙂

It was a gorgeous weekend, wasn’t it? Did you get a few showers overnight and this morning? We can see Vancouver Island at the moment, but there seem to be more clouds rolling in from the southwest. Hope Milo is feeling better.

Veronica
We did get some showers overnight but so nice to see the sun peeking a little today again. I can see Van Isle from the house too. 🙂

It is very summer-ish here as well. I have all of these beautiful sweaters longing to be set free!! In time, I suppose. p.s. your floors look fabulous 🙂
Veronica
Hi Jeannine, Is it? So nice. I’m not sure I’m ready for sweaters yet!!! probably after this weekend and I’ll get San Francisco over with and pack away the summer clothes. 🙁
Karen
Milo is gorgeous and so are your beautiful photographs. I always wanted to visit Vancouver. I lived in Ontario for five years, and fell in love with Canada. Sweater weather is my favorite time of year, here in Massachusetts the weather is gradually getting cooler.
Lovely to meet you.
Karen
Veronica
Thank you Karen. Vancouver is lovely. If you visit you must come say hello. Let me know ahead of time because I spend months in England. Massachusetts is beautiful too. I have it in mind to spend an autumn out East, probably Montreal, and watch the leaves turn. 🙂
